This Privacy Policy applies to the Presence AI website, web application, and related services. “Presence AI,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Presence AI service.

Practice content: such as passages, vocabulary exercises, prompts, notes, transcripts, and session results.
Audio and speech data: when you choose to record a session, including recordings, transcripts, pronunciation analysis, pacing, and related feedback.
Usage data: such as pages viewed, features used, session length, device type, browser, approximate location derived from IP address, log data, and diagnostic events.
Communications with us: including support requests, feedback, and billing questions.
Payment and subscription information: processed by Polar, including purchase status, plan, renewal status, invoices, receipts, and customer identifiers. We do not store full payment card numbers.

How we use information

We use information to operate, secure, improve, and support Presence AI:

Provide reading, recording, vocabulary, articulation, and speech-analysis features.
Generate transcripts, pronunciation feedback, clarity scores, pace feedback, and coaching recommendations.
Personalize future exercises, vocabulary review, progress tracking, and daily practice suggestions.
Process subscriptions, purchases, invoices, renewals, cancellations, and billing support through Polar.
Maintain service security, prevent abuse, debug errors, and enforce our Terms.
Respond to support, legal, privacy, and account requests.
Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Presence AI, users, and the public.

Audio, transcripts, and AI processing

Presence AI is built around read-aloud practice. When you record a session, your audio may be transcribed and analyzed to provide speech feedback. This may include pronunciation, clarity, pacing, filler word detection, vocabulary use, and articulation patterns.

We may use third-party AI, transcription, hosting, analytics, storage, and security providers to process this information on our behalf. We require service providers to process personal information only as needed to provide services to us and to protect it according to applicable law and contract terms.

Payments through Polar

Payments, subscriptions, checkout, invoices, receipts, tax handling, customer portal actions, and some billing support are provided through Polar. Polar may act as merchant of record for purchases made through its checkout and may process information under its own buyer terms and privacy policy.

You can review Polar’s legal terms at polar.sh/legal. Depending on the transaction, Polar may provide checkout buyer terms, receipts, renewal notices, invoices, cancellation tools, and payment-method management through its customer portal or transactional emails.

Cookies and analytics

Retention

Audio, transcripts, and session data may be retained to power progress tracking and coaching history unless deleted or subject to a shorter retention setting.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Children

Presence AI is not intended for children under 13.
